I am a postdoc in the Stanford NLP Group, advised by Diyi Yang (SALT Lab) and Sanmi Koyejo (STAIR Lab). Previously, I was a postdoc in the MilaNLP Lab at Bocconi University, where I worked with Dirk Hovy.
I received my PhD in Computer Science from the University of Zurich, advised by Anikó Hannák. I spent the summer of 2022 as a Data Science for Social Good Fellow at Carnegie Mellon University, advised by Rayid Ghani and Kit Rodolfa. During my PhD (2023–2024) I interned at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Tübingen, hosted by Celestine Mendler-Dünner and Moritz Hardt. I also worked extensively with Christoph Heitz throughout my doctoral studies.
My research spans machine learning, natural language processing, and computational social science, with a focus on the societal impact of AI. I work on algorithmic fairness, algorithmic collective action, and the promises and risks of using large language models for social science research.
